The University of New Engl而且 is committed to keeping our community safe. The UNE 应急准备和响应 website is designed to inform the community about emergency procedures 而且 resources for responding to a situation that threatens public safety.

UNE’s emergency response procedures exist to maintain our ability to quickly 而且 effectively respond to any public safety emergency. Please review these pages carefully 而且 refer to them for critical information in the event of an emergency.

- Dial 911 而且 let the police know where you are 而且 any other information that might be helpful.

- As a last resort, if the active shooter enters your hiding space, you may have to fight. If you do, commit to taking down the shooter with all you have.
Wait for a recognized UNE Official or the police to tell you to come out.

UNE has numerous ways of distributing urgent information in the event of an emergency.
UNE使用Rave Mobile Safety, an emergency notification service that provides faculty, 专业人员, 而且 students with timely information 而且 instructions during emergencies or other urgent situations that may directly affect their well-being.
This platform allows us to stay connected with the UNE community 而且 provide critical information in real time during emergency situations on campus or in the surrounding communities. Included in the platform is the Rave Guardian mobile app for smartphones, available for download on the App Store 而且 Google Play.
Within the Rave Guardian app, you can:
- Make emergency calls to 911, based on your current location
- Call UNE Safety 而且 Security to request assistance
- Reach out to campus resources (Counseling Center, Student 健康, Title IX, etc.) by phone or access information from the UNE website
- Create a personalized safety timer to alert friends, 家庭, or Safety 而且 Security in the event of an issue
To ensure you receive these important messages log in to U-在线 而且 verify the contact information under the “Personal 信息rmation 而且 Settings Menu” then “UNE Alert Notification.” You are able to add up to three phone numbers (cell phone or l而且lines) 而且 an email address.
